<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>An example of conducting a generalized analysis using the MFTA/GDTA/CTA/CWA method is presented to implement the analytical stage of developing an intelligent adaptive system (IAS) that supports crew members in making decisions to avoid thunderstorms. The purpose of the IAS, the tasks and subtasks to achieve this goal, and the situational awareness requirements are defined. Based on the obtained information, the basic principles of adaptation implemented in the developed IAS are justified, aimed at minimizing potential negative aspects of its operation.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>автоматизация</kwd><kwd>оптимизация</kwd><kwd>обход грозы</kwd><kwd>адаптивная автоматика</kwd><kwd>интеллектуальная адаптивная система</kwd><kwd>обобщенный метод MFTA/ GDTA/CTA/CWA</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>automation</kwd><kwd>optimization</kwd><kwd>thunderstorm avoidance</kwd><kwd>adaptive automation</kwd><kwd>intelligent adaptive system</kwd><kwd>generalized MFTA/GDTA/CTA/CWA method</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Сладкова Л.
