Abstract

An assessment of the role of industrial transport in the structure of freight transportation in Russia is provided. The system of centralized management of industrial railway transport in the USSR is analyzed. The shortcomings of state regulation of the industry at present are identified. Suggestions are made for optimizing the situation in the field of management of non-public railway transport and technological transport of enterprises in the Russian Federation.

Abstract

The definition of qualitative improvement of transport infrastructure from an economic point of view is given. A model of infrastructure-economic transmission is proposed, ensuring the transformation of qualitative improvement and subsequent intensification of the use of transport infrastructure, improving the economic results of the transport system’s activities. It is concluded that comprehensive measures should be developed for specific transport systems to ensure an effective transition from setting strategic tasks to fundamentally improving economic results.

Abstract

The directions of development of train interval regulation technology, approaches to modeling, and software solutions for analyzing the capacity of railway sections are highlighted. A model of inter-train intervals under the influence of all factors in operation, built on the data of locomotive safety systems ASUT-NBD2 and regulatory information ASU-DI, is considered. The probability distribution of the minimum inter-train interval on a freight-intensive section is obtained. The prospect of reducing inter-train intervals using ABTC-MSH with subsequent transition to a hybrid train management system is determined.

Abstract

The necessity of using data generated by technical diagnostics and monitoring systems of railway infrastructure in solving problems of ensuring the functional safety of the responsible technological process of train movement is substantiated. A Markov model describing the transport complex is developed, and a prospective look of the train movement control system is proposed, ensuring integration with monitoring and technical diagnostics systems. The main requirements for the prospective train movement control system are formulated, taking into account the need to ensure interoperability of complex technical systems and technological processes.

Some results of marketing research on the demand for railway transportation of goods in container wagons are characterized. A portrait of the potential consumer is compiled. A list of commercial requirements (consumer expectations) for the potential transport product is formulated. An assessment of customer orientation and payment demand is given. A series of recommendations is formulated for entering the market with new transport and logistics products for the transportation of goods in container wagons.

Abstract

Original design solutions in the field of non-traditional renewable energy executed at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Heat Power Engineering at PGUPS over the past three years are considered. Developments relate to the conversion of light radiation energy, biomass fermentation, water flow, and waves into electrical energy. A scheme for the use and research results of electrochemical generators based on hydrogen fuel cells in the power supply system of a wagon power station is provided, in which diesel-generator units with synchronous generators of standard design act as the main source.

Abstract

An algorithm for accounting for the influence of defects and deviations from the design condition on the wheel and rail running surface on the dynamic behavior of track superstructure elements is proposed. A fragment of the railway track is suggested to be modeled using equations of vertical vibrations of an elastic beam. The determinant relationships are integrated using linearization schemes of unknown functions, with the track structure containing nodal points where concentrated mass is located and external load from wheel pairs is applied. Each element of the track superstructure is proposed to be described using Hertz elastic elements with different stiffness parameters.

Abstract

The competitive advantages and problems of the Far East and the Arctic zone of Russia are considered, and the relevance of developing the transport infrastructure of these regions in new geopolitical conditions is justified.A brief analysis of the prospects for expanding trade relations between Russia and the northeastern provinces of China is given.An international multimodal transport corridor Mohe — Reino — Yakutsk — Port Tiksi, connecting the Northern Sea Route and the northeastern province of China Heilongjiang, is proposed. Options for possible directions of the new railway Yakutsk (Lower Bestyakh) — Port Tiksi, taking into account the geographical features of the terrain, are suggested.

Abstract

The established practice of technological design of seaports has long been criticized by participants in transport activities due to slow changes in the methodological and administrative-legal foundations of this activity. At this stage, the contradiction between the needs of the transport industry and the capabilities of design organizations to meet them has become even more acute. The development of methods for technological design is constrained by a whole range of reasons of various natures and significance, but each of them individually serves as an obstacle to its blocking. The study presents the main reasons, analyzes the degree of their influence, and indicates possibilities for their elimination.

Abstract

The increase in the efficiency of cargo operations of tankers has led to the development and implementation of linear-type cargo systems, the centrifugal cargo pumps of which perform stripping operations, and systems without suction pipelines with submersible cargo pumps, also performing stripping operations. This changes the ranking and complements the classification of cargo systems. The following classification is proposed: linear cargo system, system with submersible cargo pumps, ring and system with bypass transfer manifolds. The new classification allows adjusting the training program for specialists.

An analysis was conducted to identify structural,technological, and economic shortcomings of existing devices and schemes for an auxiliary system for vehicle acceleration. The results of theoretical studies to justify the effectiveness of the design scheme, the selection and mutual arrangement of units and assemblies of the proposed development of the vehicle brake energy regeneration system are presented.

Abstract

Issues of optimizing the city-forming structure and road environment for the development of the street network are studied.An analysis of the stages of formation of the road transport system is carried out, the interrelation of stages and the possibility of identifying difficulties associated with structural and technical improvement is proven. Methods for solving these problems are proposed. Strategies for optimizing urban development and improving urban infrastructure to ensure more efficient use of space and improve the quality of life of city residents are suggested.
